Stephen Ball

Stephen Ball is a highly skilled software engineer with many years of broadcast experience. He has worked as a software engineer for IMIS and Transmedia Dynamics, specialising mainly in the area of video browsing.

At Odetics, he was a senior member of a small development team which developed the first commercial timecode frame accurate video browse solution for TV broadcasters. He provided pre- and post- sales support for Odeticss video browser products in the UK and worldwide, a role which involved detailed discussion of customers technical requirements; product and technology demonstrations; and on site system installation. He was also Odeticss project leader for the design and development of a middleware solution that allowed disparate broadcast systems to communicate automatically.

Stephen is Marquis’ primary software developer and also manages contracted-out software projects.
