Project Parking archives, moves and restores Avid projects and analyses and manages media to optimise edit storage utilisation, Project Parking is certified and supported by Avid and used around the world to help manage Avid edit storage. Also in the Parking range, is Workspace Parking: Marquis’ ‘set & forget’ disaster recovery solution for Avid workspaces designed to get editors back up and running in minutes. The Parking family of products backs-up and protects over 30 PetaBytes of both ISIS and NEXIS storage worldwide.
Marquis Broadcast has today announced the appointment of Paul Glasgow to the newly created role of Sales and Marketing Director, with responsibility for driving Marquis’ direct and indirect sales across the globe.
“Paul Glasgow is a broadcast industry professional with extensive experience in deploying software and services internationally,” confirms Chris Steele, managing director, Marquis Broadcast. “Paul will now focus on developing sales for our complete range of solutions, particularly those that solve more complex workflow issues. Paul’s understanding of the Avid environment will also enable him to take full advantage of Marquis’ recent Avid Certification for Project Parking – our cost effective solution which manages Avid edit storage – in order to push this product into new territories and markets.”

Marquis Broadcast will demonstrate new developments for its disaster recovery solution for Avid edit storage, Workspace Parking, at NAB this year. Workspace Parking Server which offers all the benefits of Workspace Parking through remote access, plus Workspace Parking Sync which takes an exact copy of all content on one workspace and copies it to another keeping the destination workspace in sync with the source, will both be on show on booth SL8730 for the first time.
