Edit Bridge search panel enables custom searches for Avid Interplay
Edit Bridge is successfully used worldwide in production companies, broadcasters and post houses to integrate non-Avid editors and artists with an Avid Interplay PAM or Media Central Production Management environments. It enables the attachment of many more non-Avid creative applications to the Avid environment, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, Apple FCP X, GVG Edius or other desktop applications. The latest release of the software includes a new search panel, which gives users the freedom build flexible searches across entire Interplay database. The search panel will operate in addition to the current browse panel giving users greater flexibility in how they access Avid assets.

Company launches Fotonflite™ secure transfer system for Avid Media Composer projects and media workspaces, plus demonstrates its latest project integration, backup and cloud developments
Marquis Broadcast will showcase its world-class disaster recovery and business continuity tools at IBC (stand 7.D39) this September, including the new Fotonflite™ secure transfer system. The company will also showcase its Interplay Metadata Export Tool (IMET) in Europe for the first time, which enables customers to take an Avid® Interplay® project and media metadata and export it, along with developments in its Project Parking, Medway and Edit Bridge solutions. In addition to the Marquis stand, visitors to IBC will be able to explore Marquis Broadcast’s products on the nearby IBM stand (7.B25), with Medway media integrations between Avid and IBM Cloud Object Storage and Fotonflite based project workflows within Marquis’s Avid-certified Workspace Tools suite.
Point-to-point secure connection for replication, archive, copy, share and sync processes
25th July 2018 – Marquis Broadcast has launched Fotonflite™ – a high-performance, secure ‘on-the-fly’, point-to-point transfer system for Avid Media Composer projects and media workspaces. It allows files to be moved between source Avid ISIS/NEXIS systems and a range of target storage types, including Avid, generic and proprietary storage. Fotonflite™ is unique in its ability to directly connect and securely synchronise live Avid ISIS/NEXIS systems, especially with Avid work-in-progress, and is ideal for connecting production centres over the internet, for example, Pinewood and Hollywood.
Valuable Interplay metadata can be saved and searched
Marquis Broadcast is launching its new Interplay Metadata Export Tool at NAB 2018, which will enable customers to take an Avid® Interplay® project and export all metadata for all assets in the project – essential when archiving projects from an Interplay system. Avid Interplay PAM has become a mainstay of many production workflows, relied upon daily by large and small production facilities around the world to find, track, archive and deliver projects. The Interplay Metadata Export Tool (IMET) copies and externalises Interplay metadata, making it searchable via a browser interface by operational staff. Importantly, the source externalised metadata record in Interplay can be safely deleted, thus reducing the size of the Interplay database and thereby improving the system’s performance, stability and indexing speed.
Marquis Broadcast launches cloud capabilities for Medway, with automatic transcoding, download integration and relink functions
Marquis Broadcast will showcase its Medway Cloud Workflow at NAB 2018, providing seamless integration between local and cloud-based projects. Medway is a very powerful and scalable media-centric middleware solution. It uniquely operates at ‘sequence level’, which enables a complete digital workflow to ensure edit platforms, MAMs, video servers and archive systems work seamlessly together. The cloud compute hosted Medway Engine Web Service (MEWS) brings the power of Medway to the cloud and offers a simple and fast way to deploy hybrid cloud/ground integrations.
