Improved middleware solution accelerates workflow and business transformation

With an increasing industry need to operate UHD and HDR workflows alongside conventional HD operations, workflows have become much more complex. To streamline this complexity Marquis have added native HDR processing, UHD support and high quality de-interlace to Medway. Meaning Medway can now automatically translate and convert between 4K and other resolutions, HDR and SDR colour space and seamlessly use both interlaced and progressive scanning.

Edit Bridge search panel enables custom searches for Avid Interplay

Edit Bridge is successfully used worldwide in production companies, broadcasters and post houses to integrate non-Avid editors and artists with an Avid Interplay PAM or Media Central Production Management environments. It enables the attachment of many more non-Avid creative applications to the Avid environment, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, Apple FCP X, GVG Edius or other desktop applications. The latest release of the software includes a new search panel, which gives users the freedom build flexible searches across entire Interplay database. The search panel will operate in addition to the current browse panel giving users greater flexibility in how they access Avid assets.

Storage management tool provides S3 server-side encryption support and data usage information

Marquis Broadcast’s Avid Platform Certified Project Parking tool is the industry gold-standard for Avid storage management and project portability, providing project analytics, visualisation, management and archiving. It has been updated with a new dashboard feature, enabling usage tracking for Marquis Workspace Tools and Project Parking systems, which is especially useful for multi-site companies, helping to monitor their data usage. Project Parking has also enabled server-side encryption for AWS S3 and provided support for retrieval from Amazon Glacier cloud storage.

Company launches Fotonflite™ secure transfer system for Avid Media Composer projects and media workspaces, plus demonstrates its latest project integration, backup and cloud developments

Marquis Broadcast will showcase its world-class disaster recovery and business continuity tools at IBC (stand 7.D39) this September, including the new Fotonflite™ secure transfer system. The company will also showcase its Interplay Metadata Export Tool (IMET) in Europe for the first time, which enables customers to take an Avid® Interplay® project and media metadata and export it, along with developments in its Project Parking, Medway and Edit Bridge solutions. In addition to the Marquis stand, visitors to IBC will be able to explore Marquis Broadcast’s products on the nearby IBM stand (7.B25), with Medway media integrations between Avid and IBM Cloud Object Storage and Fotonflite based project workflows within Marquis’s Avid-certified Workspace Tools suite.

Fotonflite enables a high performance, secure ‘on-the-fly’, point to point transfer of Avid Media Composer projects and media workspaces between source Avid shared storage and a broad range of target storage types, including Avid, generic and proprietary storage. It is unique in its ability to do this, especially with Avid work-in-progress.
