Secure point-to-point transfer system now available for Marquis Broadcast’s range of workflow and disaster recovery tools

Marquis Broadcast will be exhibiting its latest secure transfer system, Fotonflite™, at BVE, ExCeL, London (26-28 February 2019, booth G30-Pod5). Fotonflite is a high-performance, secure, ‘on-the-fly’, point-to-point transfer system for Avid® Media Composer® projects and media workspaces. It is available as an option within the Project Parking and Workspace Tools family of products and allows files to be moved between source Avid NEXIS®/ISIS® systems and a range of target storage types, including Avid, generic and proprietary storage, allowing remote servers to be configured as if they were local.

Paul Glasgow takes over from Chris Steele to lead the company’s continued development of workflow transformation products.

Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, today announced that its LiveTouch sports replay and highlights solution, and the FileFlow file exchange system, are now certified with Marquis Broadcast’s Medway media and metadata automation solution. The certification enables seamless third-party integration with production systems and applications to deliver even faster workflows in mission critical live sports production environments.

Improved middleware solution accelerates workflow and business transformation

With an increasing industry need to operate UHD and HDR workflows alongside conventional HD operations, workflows have become much more complex. To streamline this complexity Marquis have added native HDR processing, UHD support and high quality de-interlace to Medway. Meaning Medway can now automatically translate and convert between 4K and other resolutions, HDR and SDR colour space and seamlessly use both interlaced and progressive scanning.
